Our Story
Tom and Christeen Moir started Imperial Cleaners because they saw an opportunity in their industry to do better.
Better customer service. Better cleaning equipment and supplies. Better employee work culture. Better client communications.
Over nearly 40 years, they have built their family business on long-term relationships with customers and staff, including some employees who’ve been with them from the beginning.
Since their modest early days, they’ve grown into Atlantic Canada’s largest privately owned cleaning services company, with nearly 300 staff who maintain over 400 buildings across the Maritimes.
As they have expanded, they’ve kept their mom-and-pop feel by staying hands-on and in constant contact with their customers and staff. They lead by example. Tom is still known to get down on his hands and knees to pitch in.
“I never ask my staff to clean anything I wouldn’t,” he says. “If something has to be done, we do it.”
