Our company is devoted to quality cleaning services, building relationships with our clients and ensuring their satisfaction. We do all of this through seasoned business practices, a management team that is dedicated to a high caliber of service and strong company philosophies and principles.
Our company was formed in 2000. The owners and founders Tom Moir and Christeen Moir saw an opportunity in the cleaning industry to ‘do better’. Better customer service, the opportunity to use more eco-friendly cleaning products, to foster a family-like atmosphere for the staff and management and most important to all, client relationships focused around communication.
Our founder and president Tom Moir began working with a variety of different cleaning organizations, while furthering his business education. This work experience included managing his own franchise Jani-King, prior to setting up Imperial Cleaners. Through experience with other companies Tom was able to focus his attention on what company logistics worked and which ones didn’t. What was most important was making the client the focus. Through our expansion we have continued to keep our hands consistently in the business. If it isn’t right, let's make it right together. Imperial Cleaners Ltd. makes proper training a focus. Our onsite training is in accordance with Federal and Provincial regulations and standards. We believe that the making of a great cleaning specialist happens onsite. Our training team works closely with our newest hires to ensure they understand the day to day tasks that come with keeping a building clean, safe and sanitized. Through this training process we can guarantee a great service and client happiness. Staff training begins on day one of an employee's career and continues to adapt as our company does. Ongoing training is one of the keys to our company's success.
All Imperial staff members are bonded, insured and covered by WorkSafe Nova Scotia (WCB) All of our cleaning staff go through a site-based training program that is customized to the client’s specific building or site needs and are reviewed by our owners, operations managers and supervisors.
It is important to us that your staff build trust and relationships with our team. At Imperial, we work to provide our partners with cleaning staff that are consistent, so you know who is in your building. This includes a list of name(s), contact information, a sign-in and sign-out system and the appropriate sector and security checks.

This has allowed us to expand our business to Imperial Cleaners Ltd, a business and team without limits. We are a variegated company, with the ability to provide multiple services including: commercial cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting, construction cleaning and certification in both air duct and mould & asbestos cleaning.
We are uniquely qualified to offer these services and the only company in the Atlantic provinces to have this selection all under one brand. We are proud to be able to offer the services listed, locally, provincially and federally.
With time in our trade comes familiarity, expertise and knowledge. Utilizing our team and management skills, our on-the-job employee training program and clear communication of expectations we are able to quickly identify talent and foster employee skill sets. Our goal is to help our employees grow in their roles but also grow within our company.
